RISK MANAGEMENT ACADEMY IN BUSINESS

ABOUT THE ACADEMY


Only 19% companies in Poland possess specialized risk management units (report by AON Polska, July 2009). While risk management is a tool universally used in developed countries, it is still a new subject in Poland.

Risk management gains a special significance in time of crisis.

Without managing its risk, a company will have difficulties in maintaining its competitiveness.

The Academy was created so to assist managers to implement or develop and improve the existing risk management processes in their companies, what will lead to better results.

The Company Risk Management Academy is a series of trainings presenting how to eliminate and limit the negative effects of risk in business activity.
During the trainings, we will present the essence of risk management, international standards of risk management, the structure of the risk management process, its stages and procedures, risk audit, risk control, risk financing and administration of risk management procedures.
Within the Academy frame, detailed thematic trainings on risk management in specific ranges of activity will be held. During these trainings, management of various types of risk will be presented: IT risk, financial and exchange rate risk, loss of financial liquidity risk, investment projects risk, public orders risk, EU project risk, as well as personal risk, managers’ risk, legal risk.
We invite to the Academy management board members, supervisory board members, company owners, all level managers and persons interested in organization risk analysis.


THE CYCLE OF TRANING


Fall session: September 2009 to February 2010.
The training within the frame of the Academy consists of a managing module and a facultative one.

The managing module is intended for people managing the company.

The training takes 2 days, and its aim is:

  • To acquaint Participants with the essence of risk management as a complex of consciously shaped and organized acts targeted at the elimination and limitation of negative risk effects,
  • To present organizational and economic procedures used within these acts, and to draw attention to the role of business insurance in this respect,
  • To demonstrate the benefits resulting from risk management.

 

The facultative module is a series of a dozen or so thematic trainings connected with risk management in individual areas of the company’s activity. These trainings are intended for managers responsible for these areas.

Thematic trainings take one or two days. During the trading, Participants get acquainted with risk management in chosen areas of the company’s activity methods and procedures.
